About WordPress Doctor
Hello! I’d like to start by saying Welcome to WPDoctor.com! The visit is very much appreciated!
WPDoctor.com is a new WordPress portal, offering current WordPress news, tips and tricks, as well as providing great advice on using WordPress to create and improve your own blog and evolve as a WordPress user.
I’ll begin by introducing myself – My name is Steve, and I’m the founder of WPDoctor.com. I come from an interesting IT background, having worked in the IT arena for the past 10 years in various different roles. I’m currently working for a IT Support company as their Web Developer, so I spend my days interacting with Clients, spoiling them rotten with great Websites and help along the way.
WPDoctor.com has come about for several reasons. I feel its time to begin creating a knowledge base of some of the great things I do while i’m working. If it wasn’t for blogs when I was first starting out, I wouldn’t have met the success I have with my career, so I feel it’s only fair I return the favour!
In the up and coming months, WPDoctor.com is going to be filled with great posts relating to WordPress (but you knew that already right?). These are going to be split into different categories. If you’re looking for something particular… shoot to the headings at the top of the page and choose the most relevant category. I’ll break these down a little further:
Plugins
If you’re looking for news on recent great plugins that WPDoctor.com recommends, then this is the place you’ll want to be! I’ll also be offering tutorials and guides for plugins here, so if you’re stuck with a plugin setup, this is where you’ll find the answers.
Themes
Themes are great – this is easily one of my favourite WordPress topics (mainly as themes aid the design of a site!). I’ll be offering a ‘theme of the month award’ here – so if you’re new to blogging or are looking to change the appearance of your WordPress site – you’ll always have a fresh Theme to download here. On a separate note – if you’ve developed a theme you feel qualifies for this award – why not get in touch and show me what you’ve created!
Tutorials
Are there any WordPress bloggers that haven’t read a Tutorial in some shape or form while beginning their blog? No WordPress ‘Doctor’ site would be complete without Tutorials – so expect to see this category build up with some great Tutorials very quickly.
Make Money
While researching for this site, and building up a ‘blog model’ and plan, it became extremely obvious that a lot of people create blogs with the intention of making money. This seems like an increasingly popular area, and something that I’d love to share my experiences on. I’ve developed many a blog over the past 3 years in my Web Development Job, and I have some pretty impressive figures that made my clients very happy when looking to make money through their blogs. If you’re interested in learning some tips, and want to know the do’s and don’ts when it comes to this grey area – be sure to keep up to date with the site, as i’m confident the information here will be of value!
